Amity Blue 2024: A Year of Growth, Sustainability, and Giving Back
As 2024 draws to a close, we’re filled with gratitude and reflection. It’s been an incredible year for Amity Blue - a year full of travel, growth, new partnerships, and the continued pursuit of our mission to create beautiful, functional products that help make a difference for our planet.
Our journey this year took us far and wide, and we were stoked to travel across Australia, all the way to Broome for almost four months. We had the privilege of sharing our story, promoting our products, and talking to so many wonderful people about the importance of recycling and reusing. The reception we received was beyond positive, and it’s clear that more and more people are passionate about the same things we are: creating a better future through mindful consumption and sustainable practices.
We’re also excited to share that Amity Blue expanded into more shops across the country. Seeing our products on the shelves of so many amazing stores is truly humbling, and it’s a testament to the growing movement towards eco-conscious living.
But our impact this year wasn’t just about products - it was about giving back. We were honored to donate both funds and products to some incredible causes and organisations, including Cullunghutti Aboriginal Child and Family Centre, The Precious Wings Foundation, Surf Life Saving Australia, The Agnes Water Longboard Classic, and Calliope Kindergarten, to name just a few. These contributions are a reminder that our work goes beyond business - it’s about community, connection, and making a real difference.
One of the highlights of 2024 was our collaboration with Goora Gan Steiner School, where we worked with the kids to create a towel together. It was a truly special experience to see their creativity and enthusiasm as they helped bring a new product to life, while learning about sustainability and recycling along the way.
We also delved deeper into the circular economy and recycling sector in Queensland, gaining a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the industry. Our trip to Indonesia was another milestone, where we met with a fantastic manufacturer to design new, exciting products that we can’t wait to share with you early next year.
One of our proudest additions that we will be adding to our collection is the new design element for our popular bucket hats, which will be available in early January. It’s a perfect blend of style, function, and sustainability - and we know you’re going to love it.
Looking ahead, 2025 is already shaping up to be an extraordinary year for Amity Blue. We’re so excited to bring you even more quality, functional products that stand out from the rest, all while staying true to our commitment to using recycled materials - like plastic bottles and recycled fishing nets - to create items that not only look great but do good for the planet.
None of this would be possible without the HUGE support of our incredible community, as well as the generous help from so many others beyond it. To everyone who has worked with us, helped us, purchased from us, and shared in our mission this year - we are truly grateful. You’ve made this year unforgettable, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come in 2025.
Thank you for being a part of the Amity Blue journey. We can’t wait to continue creating, growing, and making a positive impact together with you in the years ahead.
